
Actor Jr NTR, currently in Japan for the screenings of his 2024 film Devara: Part 1, had a heartwarming interaction with a fan who dressed exactly like him. The duo even danced together to the song Ayudha Pooja at a premiere event in Tokyo, and the video has since gone viral.
Jr NTR Joins Fan for an Impromptu Dance
Japanese comedian Kintaro, a devoted Jr NTR fan, attended the screening in full costume, replicating the actor’s look from Devara: Part 1. Much to the excitement of the audience, Jr NTR himself joined Kintaro on stage, and the two matched steps to Ayudha Pooja. The performance was met with loud cheers from the crowd.
A video of the moment, shared by Devara’s Japanese fan page, shows the actor enjoying the dance, after which he hugged Kintaro as a token of appreciation. Kintaro later posted pictures with Jr NTR on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), calling the experience a “blast.”
Jr NTR Expresses Gratitude to Japanese Fans
This isn’t the first time Jr NTR has received immense love in Japan. He was last in the country for SS Rajamouli’s RRR screening in 2022. Reflecting on his bond with Japanese fans, he said, “I am grateful for the connection with the people of Japan. This is a special film full of soul. I hope you enjoy it.” He also acknowledged the role Japan played in RRR’s global success, saying, “Thanks to Japan, we won an Oscar. Now this feels like my home. I hope you continue to enjoy and support Indian films.”

Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara: Part 1 features Jr NTR in dual roles as father and son—Devara and Vara.
