In a special tribute to the beloved 2015 film Piku, actress Deepika Padukone has announced that the film will be re-released in theatres on May 9, 2025, to celebrate its 10th anniversary. On Saturday, Deepika shared an exciting announcement on her Instagram, featuring a video with Amitabh Bachchan. The iconic actor, who played Deepika’s father, Bhashkor Banerjee, in the film, greeted fans with a warm “Namaskar” before briefly recalling the film’s memorable plot.
In his signature style, Bachchan reminded fans of the heartwarming journey the film takes, saying, “Piku… yaad hai na? (You remember Piku?).” He continued, “Piku, Bhaskor da woh gaya thha road trip pe. Nahi malum? Areh dekhiye. Bohot badhiya raha yeh road trip. Jitne unpredictable thha, utna hi unforgettable thha.
