Actor and internet sensation Urvashi Rautela has stunned fans and media alike with a surprising revelation — there’s a temple named after her near the sacred town of Badrinath. In a recent conversation with interviewer Siddharth Kannan, Urvashi casually dropped the news, saying, “Already mere naam ka mandir hai, Urvashi Mandir. Aap Badrinath ke mandir ke darshan karne jaoge na, uske theek baaju mein there is a mandir, called ‘Urvashi’.”
Kannan, initially taken aback by the claim, confirmed with her multiple times if she was serious. With unwavering confidence, the actress replied, “Haan, Urvashi mandir wahan pe hai,” asserting that the temple indeed exists and is visited by pilgrims during the Chaar Dham yatra, about a kilometre into the route.
Not content with just one temple to her name, Urvashi expressed her desire for another—this time in South India. Citing her recent rise in the South film industry and collaborations with megastars like Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, and Balakrishna (Balayya Babu), she said, “Within a span of 1.5 saal, I made my debut with megastar Chiranjeevi. Phir maine Pawan Garu Kalyan ke saath kaam kiya, do filmon mein, phir maine Balaya Babu ke saath kaam kiya.”
She added, “Unke bhi temples hai toh South mein aisa kuch ho, for my fans, wahan pe kuch ho.” When asked again if people really come to pray at the so-called Urvashi Mandir, the actor confidently responded, “Arre mandir hai! Wahi toh karenge.”
Temples dedicated to actors are not new in Indian cinema fandom. Icons like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, and Nayanthara have had temples erected by their devoted fans. If Urvashi’s claim is true, she now joins this exclusive club of screen legends. And if her South India wish materializes, she might just be the first female actor with fan temples in both North and South India.
Whether fact or fandom-fueled devotion, Urvashi’s spiritual claim is certainly making waves — and adding yet another intriguing chapter to her unconventional stardom.
