The young actress, who made her debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies (2023), is now facing harsh criticism from netizens for her screen presence in a commercial for a smartphone.
In the ad, Suhana delivers a brief dialogue before the scene transitions into a dance segment, showcasing her smooth moves. However, many social media users were quick to share their negative opinions, particularly focused on her “lack of charisma” and “screen presence.”
One comment read, “Man, she has negative screen presence. She’s in the front yet your attention goes to side characters,” while another user expressed frustration, stating, “These new nepo girls have NEGATIVE screen presence, like it’s not even funny! I couldn’t watch more than 10 seconds of this drivel!” A third comment bluntly criticized, “She just has no charisma, no screen presence. She could fade in the background and nobody would notice. Very bland and blah.”
The trolling continued with some claiming that Suhana’s presence in the ad was overshadowed by the background actors, with one user remarking, “You can tell someone isn’t star material when you immediately start paying more attention to background actors.” Another harsh comment suggested, “Her father can lobby all he wants to get her gigs but will never be able to give her any of his aura nor screen presence.”
