The much-anticipated horror comedy sequel, “Stree 2,” featuring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, has made waves even before its official release. The first teaser of “Stree 2” was showcased on the big screen on Friday, coinciding with the screening of the horror-comedy film “Munjya.” However, the teaser soon found its way online through an unauthorized leak.
The leaked teaser, posted by a social media user on X (formerly known as Twitter), promises a film packed with chills, thrills, and comedic moments. “Stree 2” reunites the beloved characters from the original film, with Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee returning to the haunted village to confront the ghost once again.
The teaser begins with the phrase “The legend is back” flashing on the screen, followed by Rajkummar Rao’s character exclaiming, “yeh toh aa gai sach mein” (she has really come back). The video then transitions to a compilation of high-energy moments filled with music, camaraderie, and spine-tingling suspense.
Shraddha Kapoor is seen in two different avatars, suggesting a continuation of her character’s love story with Rajkummar Rao. The teaser also depicts one of the friends getting possessed and Rajkummar facing the ghost with his trademark endearing mannerisms, including his unique way of saying ‘please.’
Adding to the excitement, the teaser hints at a special appearance by actress Tamannaah Bhatia in a dance sequence. However, it remains unclear whether she has a full-fledged role or a cameo in the movie.
“Stree 2,” produced by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, is set to release on August 15. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film is a sequel to the 2018 hit “Stree,” which received critical acclaim and commercial success. The original film’s music, including popular tracks like “Milegi Milegi” and “Aao Kabhi Haveli Pe,” also gained significant attention.
“Stree 2” is part of Dinesh Vijan’s expanding horror-comedy universe, which includes other films like “Roohi” and “Bhediya.” Fans are eagerly awaiting the official release of the film, and the leaked teaser has only heightened anticipation for what promises to be another entertaining and spooky ride.
