In a recent interview promoting their upcoming film, “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,” Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon discussed the theme of an ‘impossible love story’ set in the uncharted realms of artificial intelligence (AI). Addressing the growing concern of deepfake videos, Shahid Kapoor shifted the blame from AI to human behavior, asserting that people are the real issue in the misuse of this technology.

Kapoor expressed his view, stating, “Human beings are themselves the problem. They have done this to the world. We are pushing the blame on AI. We are used to not living in reality. We keep projecting something else on social media that is not a reality and keep comparing reality with what we see on social media and then leads one into depression.”

Highlighting the quest for an alternate reality in today’s society, Kapoor emphasized that AI is merely a reflection of human desires and behaviors. He drew a distinction between the creations of man and those of a higher power, noting that this theme is subtly explored in their upcoming film, “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.”

Kriti Sanon echoed Kapoor’s sentiments, expressing concern about the rise of deepfake videos and acknowledging the possibility of AI partners in the future. She remarked, “It is concerning and there are several morphed ones that came out. But there are also AI-generated news anchors which means that we are moving forward really fast. So, an AI partner is possible in coming years.”

In “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,” Shahid Kapoor portrays a scientist who develops emotions for Kriti Sanon’s character, Sifra, a highly intelligent female robot. The film, written and directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, explores the intricate relationship between man and machine. Produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Laxman Utekar, the movie also features legendary actor Dharmendra.

As AI continues to shape and influence various aspects of our lives, Kapoor’s perspective underscores the importance of acknowledging the human element in the ethical use of technology, urging society to take responsibility for its actions rather than solely blaming artificial intelligence.
