Actor Saif Ali Khan has revealed that he has recently invested in a luxurious property at The St Regis Marsa Arabia Island, The Pearl, Doha, Qatar. The decision comes just three months after the actor was involved in a shocking knife attack at his Mumbai residence. The actor spoke candidly about his new property and why he feels at home in Qatar.
At a press event hosted by Alfardan Group, Saif shared his excitement about the new island property, highlighting the safety, comfort, and luxury it offers. He described Qatar as a country that provides peace of mind, especially for his family. Saif emphasized that the island property feels like “a home away from home,” offering not only seclusion but also all the comforts and luxury of a holiday destination.
Saif said, “The views, food, lifestyle, and pace of living” were major factors in his decision to purchase the property. He went on to add that Qatar’s proximity to India and the feeling of safety were also key influences. “It’s very safe, and it feels very good to be there,” he said. The actor appreciated the concept of an “island within an island” at The St Regis Marsa Arabia Island, calling it both luxurious and beautiful.
Reflecting on his first visit to the property, Saif mentioned that he had initially stayed at the location while working on a project and was immediately drawn to its mix of privacy and luxury. He revealed that the high-end amenities, curated food options, and serene surroundings made it an ideal choice for him and his family. He also expressed his excitement about bringing his children, Taimur and Jeh, to experience the property.
The actor’s new purchase follows a string of other luxurious properties he owns across the globe, including his ancestral Pataudi Palace, a Bandra apartment where he currently resides with wife Kareena Kapoor and their children, and additional properties in London and Gstaad.
Saif’s decision to purchase the property comes just months after a violent incident at his Bandra residence. On January 16, the actor was stabbed during a robbery attempt by an accused named Shehzad. Saif suffered severe injuries, including damage to his thoracic spine, and was hospitalized for five days before being discharged. Despite the traumatic event, the actor has since recovered and appears to be focused on his family and future projects.
In the entertainment world, Saif’s fans are eagerly awaiting his upcoming Netflix film Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, which will begin streaming on April 25. The film, which also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Kunal Kapoor, and Nikita Dutta, revolves around a charming thief (played by Saif) and his partner who plan to steal the rare African Red Sun diamond, all while being pursued by a determined detective.
