Businessman Raj Kundra, who has been embroiled in a controversy surrounding allegations of pornography production, broke his silence after three years, speaking out in an exclusive interview with ANI. Kundra, who had remained silent amid intense media scrutiny, took the opportunity to address the allegations head-on, particularly those that implicated his family.
Clarifying His Role
Kundra firmly denied any involvement in the production of pornography, stating that he had merely provided technological services to his brother-in-law’s company. He clarified that his role was limited to offering technology support for an app hosted by the company, which featured bold content but was not pornographic in nature. The app, which targeted an older audience, showcased A-rated films that, according to Kundra, did not cross the line into pornography.
“I have not been a part of any pornography or any production at all. I know I have done nothing wrong,” Kundra emphasized. “I provided technology services to Kenrin, my brother-in-law’s company, which launched the app in the UK. It was bold, but it was not pornographic.”
Kundra also expressed his frustration with the media, which had repeatedly labeled him as the “kingpin” of the 13 apps involved in the case. “Let any girl come forward who says that I have met her or worked with her in any of my movies,” he said. “I have only provided software technology for the app, and nothing wrong was being run there.”
Confidence in the Judiciary
Despite the allegations, Kundra has remained steadfast in his belief that the truth will prevail. Reflecting on his legal battle, he expressed confidence in the judicial process, having spent three years fighting for his discharge from the case. “If I’m guilty, charge me; if I’m not, discharge me,” he stated firmly.
Kundra recounted the emotional and physical toll of his detention, recalling the 63 days he spent in custody following his arrest by the Mumbai police. Though he was held in a detention center, the experience was still difficult due to the emotional strain of being separated from his family. “Being away from my family and fighting in court was hard, but I know I didn’t do anything wrong,” he said.
He also highlighted that his bail was granted due to a lack of evidence against him, which he believes supports his innocence. “I thank the judiciary system for that. It restored my faith,” he added. However, Kundra acknowledged that the damage to his reputation and the harm caused to his family during this period cannot be undone.
Alleged Business Rivalry Behind the Attack
In a revealing statement, Kundra suggested that the accusations against him were driven by business rivalry. “Once, while I was in PC, someone came to me in the middle of the night and said, ‘Why did you get into a fight with him?’ That’s when I realized who had plotted this against me,” he claimed.
Kundra also revealed that he had written to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), providing names of individuals he believed were behind the conspiracy. While he refrained from naming them publicly, he expressed hope that justice would be served, and those responsible would be held accountable. “Karma will be served. Justice will be served,” he said confidently.
Ongoing Scrutiny and the Future
In addition to the pornography allegations, Raj Kundra is facing ongoing scrutiny from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) regarding an alleged money laundering investigation. Despite the challenges, Kundra’s resolve remains unwavering, and he continues to maintain his innocence.
“I am confident that I will win this case because I know I didn’t do anything wrong. The truth will come out,” Kundra concluded, reinforcing his belief that justice will ultimately prevail.
