Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s much-anticipated film Pushpa 2 continues its phenomenal run at the box office, crossing new milestones every day. On the 11th day of its release, the film accumulated around Rs 75 crore across all Indian languages, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 825.50 crore. This impressive figure takes the film even closer to the Rs 900 crore milestone, a remarkable achievement for any film.
Released on December 5, Pushpa 2 performed exceptionally well in its opening week, grossing a staggering Rs 725.8 crore. The Hindi version, in particular, contributed Rs 425.1 crore to this total, as per Sacnilk’s box office report. On its second Sunday, the film earned Rs 75 crore, with Rs 55 crore coming from the Hindi-speaking audience.
The success of Pushpa 2 has been nothing short of a record-breaking spree. The film became the fastest to reach the Rs 500 crore club on its second Saturday, surpassing the box office earnings of other major blockbusters like Jawan, Stree 2, Gadar 2, Pathaan, Baahubali 2 (Hindi), and Animal. This massive feat underscores the strong fan following of the film, particularly for its action-packed sequences and charismatic performances.
Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, Pushpa 2 has managed to capture the audience’s imagination and retain strong box office numbers. Film critic Saibal Chatterjee, writing for NDTV, mentioned that while the film continues with similar action-packed themes, it sets up the anticipation for the third installment of the franchise, which will be titled Pushpa: The Rampage.
