Karan Aujla, the popular singer known for his hit song “Tauba Tauba,” recently faced an unexpected and unsettling situation during his concert at the O2 Arena in London. The incident occurred mid-performance when a fan threw a shoe at the stage, striking the singer and landing near him.
As Karan Aujla continued his performance, a shoe was hurled from the audience and hit him. The singer, visibly agitated, paused the show to address the situation. He confronted the person responsible, saying, “Hold on! Who was that? I f*****g telling you to come up on the stage. Let’s do one-to-one right now. I know how to fight. Don’t be throwing your shoes in shame.” He further added, “I am not singing that bad that you hit me with shoes. If any of you have a problem with me, then come directly on the stage and talk… because I am not saying anything wrong.”
Following his response, the individual who threw the shoe was escorted out of the venue by security. Videos of the incident quickly circulated on social media, capturing the tension of the moment and Aujla’s reaction.
The incident sparked varied reactions from fans and the public on social media. One fan praised Aujla for handling the situation without escalating it further, while another expressed disappointment, stating, “Someone threw a shoe at Karan Aujla in the London O2 arena. They are lucky he did a whole show. He refused to perform at Rock in Rio, which is one of the world’s biggest festivals for these people, and he gave back by throwing a shoe.”
A few fans defended the artist, clarifying that the shoe-thrower reportedly wanted an autograph, not intending to offend. One tweet noted, “I just want to clear you, everyone, the guy who threw the shoe at Karan Aujla just wants him to sign on that shoe so that he threw that shoe on him, so please don’t promote fake news.”
Despite the incident, Karan Aujla remains focused on his career. He is preparing for his debut multi-city tour across India, dubbed “It Was All A Dream.” The tour will include performances in Chandigarh on December 7, Bengaluru on December 13, New Delhi on December 15 and December 18, with an additional show in New Delhi on December 19. The tour will also see him perform in Mumbai on December 21. Aujla will continue his international tour with shows in the UK, New Zealand, and Canada.
