
The Third Case continues to shine at the box office as the film edges closer to the coveted ₹60 crore milestone. Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, this action thriller, which has received strong audience reception, recorded ₹2.75 crore in box office collections on Day 6, bringing its total earnings to ₹58.55 crore, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.
The film’s performance on Day 6 showcased a solid 20.13% Telugu occupancy, with audience turnout varying across showtimes. Morning shows recorded a 14.34% occupancy, followed by a significant uptick in the afternoon with 28.53%. The evening shows held steady with 19.93%, while the night shows witnessed 23% occupancy, further affirming the film’s appeal throughout the day.
HIT: The Third Case stars Nani in the lead role of SP Arjun Sarkaar, a character sent to Jammu and Kashmir to investigate a series of brutal murders. As the investigation unfolds, Arjun faces challenges that test both his investigative skills and mental resilience. Alongside Nani, the movie features performances from Srinidhi Shetty, Surya Srinivas, Adil Pala, Rao Ramesh, Samuthirakani, Komalee Prasad, Nepoleon, and Ravindra Vijay in key roles.
Notably, Surya, who plays ASP Ravi in the film, shared an interesting anecdote about his casting journey. In a recent interview, he revealed that he received a call from Wall Poster Cinema, asking him to audition for the role. Despite not initially having an audition tape for the role, Surya shared a three-minute video of his previous work, which led to the director, Sailesh Kolanu, offering him the part on the spot.
The film has continued the legacy of the HIT franchise, which began in 2020 with HIT: The First Case, starring Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma. The sequel, HIT: The Second Case, came in 2022 with Adivi Sesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary taking the lead roles. The success of HIT: The Third Case further solidifies the franchise’s popularity among fans.
