Renowned Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan recently visited the Ram temple in Ayodhya, where he sought blessings and offered prayers. This pilgrimage comes just weeks after Bachchan attended the grand inauguration ceremony of the temple alongside his son Abhishek Bachchan.
The 81-year-old megastar, along with several other film stars, witnessed the consecration of the Ram temple by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22. Reports suggest that Bachchan’s visit to Ayodhya also includes the inauguration of a new showroom for a jewellery brand he endorses.
During the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony, which was attended by over 7,000 distinguished guests, PM Modi personally greeted Bachchan and other attendees, including members of the Bachchan family. Later, Bachchan took to social media to express the significance of the divine experience, describing it as a day filled with spiritual relevance.
In his blog post, Bachchan shared his reflections on the ceremony, stating, “A day filled with the relevance of divine spirit… immersed in the reckoning of the TEMPLE at Shri Ram’s birth.” He also shared images of the temple and the newly installed Ram Lalla idol, emphasizing the profound faith and celebration witnessed during the event.
In addition to his spiritual journey, Bachchan’s connection to Ayodhya extends further, as reports suggest he has purchased a plot in a prestigious enclave near the Ram temple. The plot, reportedly spanning 10,000 square feet and located just 15 minutes away from the temple, was acquired from Mumbai-based developer, The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL). While the size and value of the plot remain undisclosed, Bachchan’s investment underscores his deep-rooted connection to the sacred city of Ayodhya.
As Bachchan continues to engage with Ayodhya both spiritually and materially, his visit to the Ram temple serves as a testament to his enduring faith and reverence for one of India’s most revered religious sites.
