Sajid Nadiadwala’s wife, Warda Khan, has come to the defense of Salman Khan’s latest film, Sikandar, amid growing criticism. While the film has received mixed reviews, Warda shared enthusiastic fan reactions on social media, highlighting the film’s positive reception. However, her posts did not sit well with many Reddit users, who criticized her response and called her out for being out of touch with reality.
Warda Khan Shares Fan Reactions
Warda took to X (formerly Twitter) to share multiple videos of fans celebrating Sikandar in theatres. In one post, she shared a clip of an excited audience cheering and wrote, “Yoooo-hooo Sikandar ka fans ke dillon pe Raaj (Sikandar is ruling the hearts of fans).” She also posted a video showing a huge crowd outside a theatre and captioned it, “Yass, Muddai lakh bura chahe toh kya hota hai, wahi hota hai jo manzoore Khuda Bhagwaan God hota hai (Even if a million people wish ill, only what is destined by God happens).”
Another video featured fans dancing inside a theatre, to which she added, “Jawaab Audience ka karara jawaab (a strong response from the audience).”
Reddit Calls Her ‘Delusional’
While Warda tried to showcase the film’s success, Reddit users were not convinced. Screenshots of her posts were shared on the platform, with one user commenting, “Idk why Bollywood actors and producers are so delusional. No wonder 80% of the movies are not working.” Another user wrote, “Yeah, they treat the audience like the enemy.”
Some users mocked her phrasing, particularly her mix of religious references in the caption. One user joked, “Full points for being secular, but ruined the line bruh!! W* is ‘manzoore Khuda Bhagwan God’?” Others suggested that Bollywood celebrities struggle to accept constructive criticism, with one comment stating, “These people like to stay delulu. They can’t take constructive criticism at all.”
About Sikandar
Directed by AR Murugadoss, Sikandar opened to mixed reviews. While Salman’s loyal fans appreciated his return to the big screen after the underwhelming Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (2023), others criticized the film’s weak storyline, lackluster performances, and unimpressive visuals.
Despite the criticism, Sikandar has managed to perform decently at the box office, collecting ₹141.19 crore worldwide. The action thriller stars Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Sathyaraj, and Prateik Babbar in key roles.
