Television actor Vivek Dahiya has addressed swirling rumours about his alleged divorce from wife and fellow TV star Divyanka Tripathi. The actor called the speculations baseless and shared a light-hearted response, revealing how the couple reacted to the online buzz.
Speaking to ABP News in a video interview, Vivek said that he and Divyanka were amused by the fake news. “Bahut maze aa rahe hai. Main aur Divyanka, hum log hass rahe the. Hum log ice cream khate khate soch rahe the ‘aur lamba hoga toh popcorn bhi mangwa lenge’,” he said, meaning that the two laughed it off while enjoying ice cream and joked about getting popcorn if the rumours continued.
Vivek, who also creates content on YouTube, acknowledged the trend of sensationalism online. “Main bhi YouTube vlogging karta hu aur mujhe pata hai yeh clickbait kya hota hai… Kuch bhi aisa unreal ko encourage nahi karna chahiye,” he added, suggesting that audiences shouldn’t fall for misleading or untrue content.
The couple, who met on the sets of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and tied the knot on July 8, 2016, have been admired for their on-screen chemistry and off-screen bond. Divyanka made her acting debut in 2006 with Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, while Vivek entered the television industry in 2013 with Yeh Hai Aashiqui. Together, they won hearts and the trophy in the dance reality show Nach Baliye 8.
Despite the growing wave of online rumours, the duo continues to stay strong, reminding fans that not everything on the internet deserves to be believed.
