Actors Vishnu Manchu, Mohan Babu, and Prabhu Deva showcased the teaser of their upcoming film, Kannappa, at the Cannes Film Festival, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback.
Vishnu Manchu, along with Mohan Babu and Prabhu Deva, attended the prestigious Cannes Film Festival to promote their forthcoming fantasy drama, Kannappa. The film’s team presented the teaser at the event, and according to Vishnu, the response was extraordinary.
On Tuesday, Vishnu Manchu shared his exhilarating experience, saying, “We showcased the teaser of Kannappa here in Cannes, and it received an overwhelmingly positive response! International distributors, local Indians, and everyone who saw it absolutely loved it. I am excited and have butterflies in my stomach after witnessing such fantastic reactions.”
The teaser is set to be officially released on June 13. Additionally, Vishnu plans to host a special screening of the Telugu version of the teaser on May 30 in Hyderabad for a select audience. He expressed his gratitude to the supporters of Kannappa, stating, “This special screening is for a select audience who have been encouraging Kannappa throughout my journey and have been sending constant messages of support on Instagram and Twitter. My team will be reaching out to these special invitees. I can’t wait to share the world of Kannappa with you all!”
The trio, accompanied by Vishnu’s wife Viranica, graced the red carpet at Cannes for the screening of Horizon: An American Saga by Kevin Costner. Sharing a video on X (formerly Twitter) of their red carpet appearance, Vishnu wrote, “Walked the Red Carpet yesterday for the screening of ‘Horizon: An American Saga’.” Prabhu Deva also shared the moment, captioning, “With #kannappa team elder brother, @themohanbabu Sir and younger brother @iVishnuManchu.”
Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kannappa is a fantasy drama featuring Vishnu Manchu as the titular character, an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. The film is produced by Mohan Babu and includes a stellar cast with Mohanlal, Prabhas, and Akshay Kumar. Vishnu has also contributed to the screenplay, alongside Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, Eshwar Reddy, G Nageswara Reddy, and Thota Prasad, who are credited for the story.
