According to close friend Salam Kazi, the 67-year-old actor is currently fighting stage four cancer, affecting his liver, lungs, and intestine.
Kazi shared insights regarding Mehmood’s deteriorating health, stating, “He was ill for 2 months, and initially, we suspected a minor issue. However, his sudden weight loss raised concerns. Medical reports later confirmed cancer in his liver and lungs, accompanied by a tumor in his intestine, compounded by jaundice. Despite ongoing treatment, doctors have diagnosed it as a stage four cancer.”
In a show of solidarity and support, fellow actor Johnny Lever recently visited Junior Mehmood at his residence in Mumbai. Mehmood, a seasoned artist, has left an indelible mark on the film industry with his versatile performances, having appeared in over 200 films across multiple languages. His contributions spanned significant movies like “Do Aur Do Paanch,” showcasing his talent and versatility over the years.
