“Triptii Dimri Responds to ‘National Crush’ Label After Animal: ‘Grateful to God…'”

Triptii Dimri Reacts to Being Called 'National Crush' After Animal: 'I Would Like to Thank God...'

Triptii Dimri, who has captured the nation’s attention following her role in the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer “Animal” (2023), recently addressed being dubbed India’s ‘crush’. The actor, who is currently preparing for the release of her next film “Bad Newz” alongside Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk, spoke candidly about this newfound title at the trailer launch event in Mumbai on Friday.

When asked if being called the ‘crush’ of India made her uncomfortable or overshadowed her acting, Triptii expressed gratitude for the recognition. “In my experience, luckily, I would like to thank God, because in my experience, it has been the other way around,” she said. “As many films I have done in my career, whether they are the older films that I did earlier, or the ones that have released recently, I have received a lot of love from my audience. People have liked my work and have spoken about it.”

Triptii emphasized her focus on her craft, stating, “Initially, when I came into the industry, I always wanted people to talk about my work and nothing else. Luckily, when my films have released, they have spoken about my work. I think these things motivate us actors to do better in life and to keep working on our craft and I think, that way I have been very fortunate.”

Triptii Dimri, who has previously been a part of films like “Laila Majnu”, “Bulbbul”, and “Qala”, has seen a significant rise in fame following her performance in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial “Animal”. In the action film, she portrayed Zoya, the love interest of Ranbir Kapoor’s character. The film also starred Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Shakti Kapoor, among others.

Looking ahead, Triptii is set to star in “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” opposite Kartik Aaryan. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the third installment of the hit franchise also features Vidya Balan and is scheduled for a Diwali 2024 release. With a promising lineup of projects and a growing fanbase, Triptii Dimri continues to make her mark in the Indian film industry.
