Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 witnessed a dramatic turn of events as actor-model Asim Riaz was evicted from the reality show following a heated altercation with host Rohit Shetty and fellow contestants.
The incident unfolded during the show’s July 27 episode, when Riaz’s comments and behavior sparked controversy. The task involved collecting flags from a seesaw, with only the top two finishers securing safety from elimination. Aashish Mehrotra and Niyati Fatnan succeeded in the task, leaving Riaz to face elimination. Frustrated, Riaz claimed the challenge was impossible and challenged the show’s team to demonstrate it in front of him, declaring he wouldn’t take any money from the show.
In a video that has gone viral, Riaz was seen arguing with the show’s team while Rohit Shetty and the other contestants watched from a distance. Riaz reportedly said, “I have so much money you can’t even imagine. I change four cars in six months. You think I need money? It is for the fans that I was here, not for these losers,” referring to his co-contestants.
Rohit Shetty responded to the situation with a strong rebuke. He presented a rehearsal video showing the task completed successfully by the team, emphasizing that the show ensures all tasks are tested before contestants attempt them. After showing the video, Rohit Shetty confronted Riaz, saying, “Kal bhi tune bahot bakwaas ki (Yesterday also you said a lot of nonsense).” He further warned, “Sun meri baat sunle warna mei utha ke yahi patak dunga. Aise mere se badtameezi nahi karna (Listen to me otherwise I will thrash you here. Don’t behave badly here).”
As tensions escalated, Riaz attempted to approach Shetty but was intercepted by the show’s team. Rohit Shetty, observing Riaz’s growing frustration, inquired, “What are you doing?” Following the confrontation, Riaz was shown the door.
In a final statement, Rohit Shetty expressed his sentiments towards Riaz, saying, “I wish him all the luck but now he can’t continue in this show. He has a point of view, no doubt about it and I respect that. I wish him all the luck. He is a young kid and may God bless him with success.”
