The sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, is set for a December 6 release. However, recent events have overshadowed the film’s promotional buzz. A video purportedly showing scenes from the climax of Pushpa 2 has surfaced online, sparking controversy and concern.
The video, which appeared on social media, allegedly depicts an extra being pulled up by ropes on the film’s set. The person who shared the video wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Allu Arjun climax scene. I wasn’t supposed to take this, but oh well.” Although the footage does not feature any of the lead actors, it has nonetheless fueled speculation about the film’s plot and climax.
The leak has prompted a strong reaction from fans, who have taken to social media to express their displeasure and urge for the removal of the video. Comments like “Orey endukra leak chestunaru (Why are you guys leaking the video),” and “Bro delete chey (Delete it bro),” reflect the frustration among the film’s supporters. Some fans have called on Mythri Movie Makers, the film’s production company, to take decisive action against those responsible for the leak.
Concerns about the leak have also been voiced regarding its impact on the film’s production team. One fan wrote, “Bro Mythri movies vaalu chaala kopam ga unnaru anta and people are losing their job..please delete it bro,” suggesting that the leak may have serious repercussions for those involved in the film.
Pushpa 2: The Rule was initially slated for an August 15 release but has been rescheduled to December 6. The film will see Allu Arjun reprise his role as Pushpa Raj, with Rashmika Mandanna returning as Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil as Bhanwar Singh Shekawat. The first installment of the franchise was a significant success, capturing the attention of audiences across India, including Hindi-speaking regions.
