South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun has strongly refuted recent dating rumors linking him to the late actress Kim Sae Ron. The video further claimed that the relationship had ended in a breakup. However, Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, has categorically denied the rumors, branding them as “completely false” and announcing legal action against those spreading misinformation.
Kim Soo Hyun’s Agency Responds to Dating Allegations
On Monday, March 10, Gold Medalist issued an official statement addressing the controversy. The agency firmly rejected the claims made by the Garosero Research Institute, stating, “The claims made by Garosero Research Institute regarding Kim Soo Hyun on YouTube today are completely false.”
The statement went on to clarify that the allegations, including claims of Kim Soo Hyun’s involvement in harassing Kim Sae Ron and the agency’s alleged unfair response to her past drunk driving incident, were entirely baseless. “These accusations, along with numerous other malicious claims against our company and Kim Soo Hyun, are entirely false, and we cannot overlook them,” the agency asserted.
Mourning Kim Sae Ron’s Passing
The agency also expressed sorrow over the tragic passing of Kim Sae Ron, who was previously under their management. “We are deeply heartbroken by the news of the late Kim Sae Ron’s death, as she was once part of our company, and we mourn her passing,” the statement read. The Queen of Tears actor’s agency urged respect for the deceased and emphasized that the spread of such baseless rumors was both damaging and disrespectful.
Legal Action Against Defamation
In response to the situation, Gold Medalist has vowed to take strict legal measures against those spreading false information. The agency condemned the Garosero Research Institute’s actions, stating that their behavior was a form of “cyber wrecker” harassment, similar to the online bullying that had deeply affected Kim Sae Ron during her lifetime.
They further urged the public and fans to refrain from sharing or amplifying unverified information, saying, “Please refrain from spreading, amplifying, or reproducing baseless false information.”
