Kannada actress Srinidhi Shetty, renowned for her role in the blockbuster KGF series, is making significant strides in the Telugu film industry. Following her debut in the upcoming film Telusu Kasa opposite Siddhu Jonnalagadda, she has now officially signed on for HIT 3, directed by Sailesh Kolanu.
Nani, who stars in HIT 3, took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce the exciting news, sharing a candid photo of himself with Srinidhi on set. He welcomed her to the team, writing, “Other side of the madness 🙂 Welcome on board @SrinidhiShetty7 #Hit3.”
Expressing her excitement on Instagram, Srinidhi shared the same image and wrote, “Another piece of my heart – HIT3. I’m beyond thrilled to be part of this one.” According to a press note from the filmmakers, Srinidhi’s character will play a significant role in the film, showcasing her talent and presence.
The film is currently being shot in Visakhapatnam, where Srinidhi and Nani are filming scenes together. HIT 3 is the third installment in the successful HIT franchise, produced by Nani’s sister, Prashanti Tipirneni, through Wall Poster Cinema in collaboration with Unanimous Productions.
The HIT series, which began with HIT: The First Case in 2020 featuring Vishwak Sen as the troubled police officer Vikram Rudraraju, continued with HIT: The Second Case in 2022, starring Adivi Sesh as Krishna Dev aka KD. Nani’s character, Arjun Sarkaar, was introduced at the end of the second film, generating anticipation for his return in HIT 3.
The production team includes cinematographer Sanu John Varghese, music composer Mickey J Meyer, editor Karthika Srinivas R, and production designer Sri Nagendra Tangala. HIT 3 is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2025.
Nani was last seen in Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, released earlier this year, while Sailesh Kolanu recently directed the Venkatesh-starrer Saindhav, which received mixed reviews. With Srinidhi’s addition to the cast, expectations are high for HIT 3 to deliver another thrilling chapter in the series.
