Katrina Kaif on Sunny Kaushal’s Role in Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba: “I Kept Pausing to Share My Thoughts with My Husband…”

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has recently lauded her brother-in-law, Sunny Kaushal, for his outstanding performance in the Netflix film Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba. Taking to Instagram Stories, Katrina expressed her admiration for Sunny’s work in the film, which is a sequel to the 2021 hit Haseen Dilruba.

Katrina’s Instagram post highlighted her enthusiasm for the film, writing, “Loved…too much fun… had to keep pausing it to tell my husband my theories about the plot…” Her excitement about the film was evident as she continued to praise Sunny Kaushal, saying, “Aaahh you took me by surprise and after seeing this side of you anything you say is right, you are always right and the best devar one can ever imagine… promise never to bother you…”

Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba sees Sunny Kaushal in a pivotal role, and Katrina’s heartfelt message reflects the high regard she has for his performance. The film also stars Vikrant Massey, Taapsee Pannu, and Harshvardhan Rane, and continues the story from the original Haseen Dilruba. The narrative explores themes of love and revenge, and while it has received mixed reviews from critics and audiences, Katrina’s endorsement adds a personal touch to the film’s reception.

Sunny’s elder brother, actor Vicky Kaushal, also expressed pride in Sunny’s performance. Vicky wrote, “You have truly surprised me with your ability to pull off such a twisted character. So tastefully done, I know how excited you were to take up this part and could see you having fun playing it through and through. So proud. Onwards and Upwards brother.” Vicky and their parents, Sham and Veena Kaushal, attended a special screening of the film to support Sunny.

Sunny Kaushal, who made his acting debut in 2016 with Sunshine Music Tours and Travels, has since appeared in notable films such as Gold and The Forgotten Army: Azaadi Ke Liye. Before his acting career, he worked as an assistant director on films like My Friend Pinto and Gunday.
