Actors Katrina Kaif, Raveena Tandon, her daughter Rasha Thadani, and Abhishek Banerjee participated in religious events during the ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. The celebrities were seen performing aarti and attending an evening bhajan, as captured in visuals shared by news agency ANI on Monday.
Katrina Kaif’s Spiritual Visit
In a video, Katrina Kaif, dressed in a saffron outfit, was seen sitting on the floor, smiling and clapping along to a bhajan led by Parmarth Niketan Ashram President Swami Chidanand Saraswati. She was accompanied by her mother-in-law, Veena Kaushal.

Raveena Tandon actively participated in the event, singing along to the devotional song, while her daughter Rasha Thadani clapped beside her. Abhishek Banerjee was also seen amid the devotees. In another clip, all the celebrities joined Swami Chidanand Saraswati and Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati to perform aarti at the Mahakumbh.
Following their visit, Katrina and her mother-in-law were spotted at Mumbai’s Kalina Airport after returning from Prayagraj.
Swami Chidanand Saraswati’s Words on Mahakumbh
Speaking on the spiritual significance of Mahakumbh, Swami Chidanand Saraswati remarked, “Mahakumbh is an occasion of snan, dhyan, and daan (holy dip, meditation, and charity). Katrina Kaif took a holy dip, meditated, and performed annadaan. She said that she sees God in everyone… Such beliefs keep this nation alive.”
He also praised the event’s organization, adding, “I support the thoughts of PM Modi. The way CM Yogi Adityanath has arranged everything, this is a Mahakumbh of vyavastha, arthvyavastha, and astitva (arrangement, economy, and identity). This Kumbh is for everyone; those who have not visited yet should come and take a holy dip.”
Celebrities at Mahakumbh
According to the Uttar Pradesh government’s Information Department, nearly 630 million devotees have visited the holy site as of Sunday. Earlier on Monday, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar also took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam—the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers in Prayagraj.
