Kartik Aaryan Reveals Why He Refused Supari and Pan-Masala Brand Endorsements

Kartik Aaryan, one of Bollywood’s most popular actors, has built a successful career over 15 years in the Hindi film industry. Known for his choice of roles and endorsements, Kartik recently spoke about his decision to turn down endorsements for fairness creams and pan-masala brands. In an interview with The Lallantop, Kartik explained his reasons for rejecting these offers, citing personal discomfort and a mismatch with his values.

Kartik recalled his experience with endorsing a fairness cream early in his career, which he eventually stopped. He said, “I did an ad for a face cream a long time ago but then I stopped it. I was not convinced with it. I did not renew it because then I understood that it could be wrong.” He emphasized his refusal to promote brands like supari and pan-masala, stating, “I don’t relate to those things. And I try that as long as I can, I refuse these things. I can’t say who is right or wrong, everyone has their own way of thinking. But this doesn’t fit my plans.”

Kartik Aaryan is set to star in Kabir Khan’s “Chandu Champion,” where he will portray former Indian paralympic gold-medalist Murlikant Petkar. The sports biopic required Kartik to undergo a physical transformation to authentically depict the life of an athlete. The film also features Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Vijay Raaz, Aniruddh Dave, and Palak Lalwani in pivotal roles. “Chandu Champion” has been shot in locations including London, Wai, and Jammu and Kashmir. Co-produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan, the movie is backed by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Kabir Khan Films, and is set to release on June 14.

Following “Chandu Champion,” Kartik will be seen in Anees Bazmee’s “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3,” a highly anticipated horror-comedy. The film, which also stars Tripti Dimri and Vidya Balan, is scheduled for release on October 31, 2024.
