Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan recently confirmed his relationship with Gauri Spratt on his 60th birthday, sparking widespread discussions. Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt has now spoken in support of Aamir, questioning societal norms around age and relationships.
Vikram Bhatt on Aamir Khan’s New Relationship
In an interview with ETimes, Vikram Bhatt expressed his views on Aamir finding love again at 60, stating, “Well, if I can get married at 50, why can’t Aamir Khan find a partner at 60? Age is just a number. There’s no age for finding happiness. As life goes by, it stops being about the excitement of a relationship and sexuality. It starts becoming more and more about companionship and not being lonely.”
Vikram further emphasized the importance of emotional support in relationships, adding, “Having someone to hold your hand, someone to understand you, someone to say that it’s going to be alright. I’m very happy for Aamir if he has found that in a person. I wish him the best because he’s a great guy and deserves happiness.”
Aamir and Gauri’s Public Appearance
Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt were recently seen together for the first time in public. In the pictures, Aamir was seen smiling for the paparazzi while escorting Gauri to the car.
During an informal meet-and-greet event, Aamir formally introduced his partner to the media. He shared that they had known each other for 25 years but reconnected a year and a half ago. He stated, “She happened to be in Mumbai, and we met accidentally. We kept in touch, and then it all happened organically.” Aamir also revealed that Gauri recently met Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.
Aamir Khan’s Past Relationships
Aamir Khan was previously married to Reena Dutta and later to filmmaker Kiran Rao. From his first marriage with Reena, Aamir has two children, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan. His second marriage with Kiran Rao lasted from 2005 to 2021, and they continue to co-parent their son, Azad.
Aamir Khan’s Upcoming Film
On the professional front, Aamir Khan is set to star in Sitaare Zameen Par, which is expected to feature Genelia Deshmukh in a pivotal role. The film is slated for a Christmas 2024 release.
