South Korean actor couple Hyun Bin and Son Ye-Jin, beloved for their roles in the hit K-drama series “Crash Landing on You,” have reportedly put their luxurious penthouse on the market. The 2600 sq. ft. unit, located in the exclusive Achiul Village, Guri, was purchased for $3.52 million in 2020. Its value has now risen to $5.13 million, reflecting a substantial increase of $1.61 million over four years.
The penthouse is situated in Walkerhill Podoville, an elite building inspired by the Dutch artist Mondrian’s painting “Composition.” The building, which houses only seven residences across its four floors, is known for its exclusivity and unique design elements. The first floor offers residents complimentary wine and an interior renovation every two years, adding to its allure.
One of the most captivating features of the penthouse is its garden terrace, accessible only via a secret staircase on the top floor. The interior boasts an elegant mix of marble and concrete, floor-to-ceiling windows, a skylight, and a stunning view of the Seoul skyline. The state-of-the-art kitchen appliances, en-suite bathroom, and walk-in closet further enhance the property’s desirability.
The penthouse is not only luxurious but also boasts famous neighbors. Notable personalities like actors Han So-Hee and Oh Yeon-seo, along with singer Park Jin-young, also own units in the same building.
Hyun Bin and Son Ye-Jin first captivated audiences with their on-screen chemistry in “Crash Landing on You,” a massive hit on Netflix. The couple previously worked together in the 2018 action thriller film “The Negotiation.” After dating for several years, they tied the knot on March 31, 2022. The couple confirmed they were expecting their first child via a heartfelt Instagram post and welcomed their baby boy in November of the same year.
