The disappearance of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Gurucharan Singh has left his family and friends deeply concerned, with ongoing efforts to locate him and ensure his safe return.
Gurucharan Singh’s father, Hargit Singh, shared his distress, stating, “What has happened is very shocking, we don’t know how to deal with it. Hum sab bahut pareshaan hain (We are very troubled) and are eagerly waiting for some update from the police. Hum uske wapas aane ka intezaar kar rahe hain (We are awaiting his return).”
The actor had recently wished his father on Instagram, but there were no elaborate celebrations as the family spent time together at home. The following day, Gurucharan was supposed to travel to Mumbai but has since been missing for two weeks.
Friend Bhakti Soni, who was expecting Gurucharan at the Mumbai airport, expressed concern after not hearing from him. She recounted her experience of waiting at the airport and unsuccessfully trying to contact him, hoping for any information from the police to aid in the search.
Delhi police sources revealed that Gurucharan left his phone in the Palam area, complicating the tracing efforts. CCTV footage showed him moving between e-rickshaws, indicating a planned departure from Delhi.
Gurucharan Singh gained fame for his role as Roshan Singh Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Despite the popularity of his character, he left the show in 2013, returned briefly, and ultimately exited in 2020. Actor Balwinder Singh Suri replaced him on the show.
Authorities have registered a case under Section 365 of the IPC and are actively investigating the matter, reviewing CCTV footage and deploying technical resources to aid in locating Gurucharan Singh.
As the search continues, the concern and hope for Gurucharan’s safe return persist among his family, friends, and fans, emphasizing the urgency of finding answers in this unsettling situation.
