Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim Share They Departed Kashmir Just Before Deadly Pahalgam Terror Strike

Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim Reveal They Left Kashmir Hours Before Pahalgam Terror Attack

Television couple Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim were vacationing in Kashmir with their son, Ruhaan, just a day before the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam. The attack, which took place on Monday, claimed the lives of 26 people, making it one of the worst terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir in recent times. The couple, who had been sharing glimpses of their trip on social media, addressed their fans’ concerns about their safety.

In a post on Instagram, Shoaib reassured followers that they were safe. “Hi guys, U all have been concerned for our well-being… Hum sab safe hain theek hain, aaj hi morning me we left Kashmir… (We all are safe, we left Kashmir this morning), and we reached Delhi safely… Thank you for all the concern.. New vlog coming soon,” he wrote.

The couple had been enjoying the picturesque beauty of the valley before the unfortunate attack occurred. Dipika had shared a few pictures and videos from their trip, showing the serene landscapes of Kashmir. One of her captions read, “Dhadkan,” while another video featured her taking a leisurely walk in the lush green valley, sharing only a red heart emoji with the caption.

The terror attack, which took place on Monday in Pahalgam, targeted tourists, leaving 26 people dead and several others injured. Among the casualties were a Navy officer and an Intelligence Bureau official. The situation was dire as the region is only accessible by foot or horseback, prompting the military to dispatch helicopters to evacuate the injured.

In the aftermath of the attack, Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Srinagar for a briefing by Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Director General, Nalin Prabhat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was in Saudi Arabia, also returned to India early, cutting short his visit to ensure the situation was addressed promptly.

Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim, who tied the knot in February 2018, welcomed their son, Ruhaan, in June 2023. Their vacation in Kashmir had been a much-needed break, but it ended on a tense note as they narrowly avoided being caught in the attack.

Fans have expressed their relief and support for the couple, who have now safely returned to Delhi. Dipika and Shoaib’s fans continue to pray for the victims and families affected by the tragic events in Pahalgam.
