As excitement builds for Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming concert in Delhi, part of his highly anticipated Dil-Luminati Tour, fans have been cautioned by Delhi Police against falling victim to fraudulent ticket sales. With the concert set for October as part of the Indian leg of the tour, demand for tickets has surged, leading to an increase in fake ticket scams.
To address the issue, Delhi Police has employed a creative approach on their social media platforms. They shared a video set to Dosanjh’s popular track “Born To Shine,” featuring a warning message to fans. The video’s text reads, “Gaana sunne ke chakkar mein ticket ke liye galat link par paise puse dekar apna band na bajva lena” (In your desperation to listen to his music, don’t click on fraudulent links and transfer money anywhere).
The accompanying caption reinforces this message with a play on words: “Paise Puse Baare Soche Duniya, Alert Rehkar Online Fraud Se Bache Duniya!” along with hashtags like Online Safety and Cyber Safety. This creative warning not only caught the attention of Dosanjh’s fans but also impressed the singer himself. Diljit Dosanjh reposted the message on his Instagram Stories, tagging the Delhi Police handle and adding a fist emoji to show his appreciation for the effort.
The Dil-Luminati Tour India, which begins on October 26 in New Delhi, has already set a record as the highest-grossing concert tour in India, with 2.5 lakh tickets sold. The tour will continue across several cities, including Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, and will conclude in Guwahati on December 29. Due to overwhelming demand, additional cities may be added to the tour schedule.
On the acting front, Diljit Dosanjh is preparing for his roles in the long-awaited sequels Border 2 and No Entry 2. He has also collaborated with Alia Bhatt on a promotional song for her upcoming film Jigra.
