Diljit wore a majestic Maharaja-style floor-length cape, adorned with delicate floral embroidery. This year’s Met Gala dress code, “Tailored for You,” celebrated suiting and menswear influenced by Black style and identity. Inspired by Monica L. Miller’s book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, the event was co-chaired by Pharrell Williams, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, and Anna Wintour, with LeBron James serving as honorary co-chair.
