In exciting news for Dhanush fans, the acclaimed actor is gearing up to portray the legendary music maestro Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja in an upcoming biopic titled “Ilaiyaraaja.” The announcement has generated immense buzz, especially after the release of a captivating poster featuring Dhanush as the iconic musician.
The poster, shared on X (formerly Twitter), showcases an animated shot of the protagonist’s back, accompanied by the text “Dhanush as Ilaiyaraaj.” For those unfamiliar, Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja is renowned for his illustrious career spanning over 50 years, during which he has composed over 7,000 songs. His contributions to music have earned him prestigious accolades such as the Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, and Sangeet Natak Akademi Award.
Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh also shared insights about “Ilaiyaraaja,” highlighting Dhanush’s portrayal of the title role. Adarsh noted, “Dhanush essays title role… Dhanush steps into the shoes of music maestro Ilaiyaraaja.” The biopic, directed by Arun Matheswaran, promises to delve into the life and legacy of the revered musician.
