Bobby Deol Set to Antagonize Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh in YRF's Spy Universe Film

Bobby Deol, who garnered critical acclaim for his negative role in the film “Animal,” is gearing up to play the antagonist opposite Alia Bhatt in an upcoming spy action-thriller under the Yash Raj Films banner. This development marks another significant venture for Bobby Deol as he continues to excel in portraying villainous characters across Hindi and regional cinema.

The untitled project, which is part of YRF’s Spy Universe, will feature Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh in pivotal roles, making it a highly anticipated addition to the franchise. Bobby Deol’s inclusion as the villain adds an intriguing dynamic to the film’s narrative, promising intense confrontations and gripping sequences.

According to reports from Deadline, Bobby Deol’s role as the antagonist comes on the heels of his success in “Animal,” where he delivered a standout performance. The YRF Spy Universe film will see Bobby Deol clash with Alia Bhatt, marking their first on-screen collaboration.

The film’s storyline is part of a larger cinematic universe that connects to other YRF projects like “War 2” and “Tiger Vs Pathaan.” Alia Bhatt’s role in the spy thriller also marks a significant milestone as she becomes the first female actor to headline a high-octane espionage thriller within this universe. Sharvari Wagh, known for her role in YRF’s “Bunty Aur Babli 2,” will also play a key role as a spy alongside Alia Bhatt.

Directed by Shiv Rawail, known for “The Railway Men,” the film is expected to showcase intense action sequences and gripping plot twists as Bobby Deol’s character clashes with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh’s characters.

Bobby Deol’s upcoming projects also include the Tamil action-fantasy film “Kanguva,” starring alongside Suriya and Disha Patani, and the Telugu period action-adventure “Hari Hara Veera Mallu,” where he portrays the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is currently filming for her home-production “Jigra,” co-starring Vedang Raina, while Sharvari Wagh recently shared updates about her upcoming action-drama “Vedaa” alongside John Abraham. The casting for the remaining roles in the YRF Spy Universe film is yet to be officially announced, adding to the anticipation surrounding this high-profile project.
