Actor Ankit Gupta has confirmed his exit from the television show Tere Ho Jaayein Hum, citing the need to “rejuvenate and recharge” himself. As per reports, popular actor Barun Sobti is set to replace him and star alongside Priyanka Chahar Choudhary in the show.
An Instagram post by Gossips TV suggests that Barun, best known for his role in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?, will take on the lead role in the show, which is produced by Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey. While an official announcement is still awaited, fans are already excited about this unexpected casting.

In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Ankit Gupta opened up about his decision to step away from the show. He stated, “I backed out of the project with Ravi and Sargun. I don’t think that I would be able to do something for that project right now. Maybe I need some time for myself to rejuvenate and recharge myself.”
Ankit also revealed that he is taking a break from work and, as a result, has opted out of participating in Khatron Ke Khiladi this year. He added, “I’m just taking time for myself, so I’m not thinking about work right now.”

The actor also spoke about his stint on Bigg Boss 16, admitting that he feels he could have waited a few more years before joining the reality show. “I could have mentally and physically prepared and then gone. Maybe that’s the reason I am not very keen on doing Khatron Ke Khiladi this year,” Ankit said. He mentioned that while he had a meeting with the team, he did not feel ready to participate in the show.
