Apoorva Mukhija has made her return to Instagram after staying away from social media for a month following the India’s Got Latent controversy. The content creator, who appeared in the controversial episode featuring Ranveer Allahbadia, posted a cryptic message for her followers as she resumed her online presence.
Apoorva’s First Message After a Month
On March 13, Apoorva addressed her fans through her Instagram broadcast channel, Rebellions, writing, “Diwaaron ke bhi kaan hote hain” (Even walls have ears). She also expressed gratitude to her followers, saying, “So, thank you.”
This marked her first message since February 10, when she had previously posted, “This is not how I should be rn,” on the same day Ranveer Allahbadia issued a video apology for his comments on the show.
The India’s Got Latent Controversy
Apoorva and Ranveer were among several content creators—including Ashish Chanchlani and Jaspreet Singh—who appeared on comedian Samay Raina’s YouTube show, India’s Got Latent. The episode sparked severe backlash due to offensive remarks made during the discussion. Following the outrage, all episodes of the show were removed from YouTube.
Last month, Apoorva and Ranveer visited the National Commission for Women (NCW) office, where they submitted written apologies. A video shared by ANI showed Apoorva exiting the Khar police station, avoiding media questions while covering her face with a mask.
Apoorva’s Absence From Promotions
Besides the controversy, Apoorva Mukhija was recently seen in Nadaaniyan, a Netflix film starring Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor. However, she remained absent from its promotions and even skipped the film’s premiere. Notably, she did not share any posts related to the film on her Instagram, maintaining her silence on the matter.
