Bollywood fans were treated to a glimpse of Anil Kapoor’s highly anticipated role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming film ‘Animal’ as the first look poster was unveiled. In the movie, the 66-year-old actor portrays the character of Ranbir Kapoor’s father, and the initial poster has left audiences intrigued.
In the newly released poster, Anil Kapoor is seen seated on a wooden sofa chair, his gaze piercing through the camera. Dressed in an open-front blue track suit, Anil Kapoor’s character exudes intensity and derangement. What sets this look apart is his visibly ailing appearance; his eyes are swollen and blackened, and he is connected to an IV drip, suggesting a state of ill health. The poster backdrop is adorned with colorful flowers, creating a striking contrast to the character’s grim countenance.
Anil Kapoor took to social media to share the poster, captioning it, “Animal Ka Baap…Balbir Singh!” The post garnered immediate attention from fans and industry peers alike.
Notably, Anil’s son and actor Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor responded with four bow-down emojis and two fire emojis, while Anil’s son-in-law and director of “Thank You For Coming,” Karan Boolani, left a comment with a sunglasses emoji on the Instagram post. Bhumi Pednekar, Anil’s co-star in “Thank You For Coming,” and her sister Samiksha Pednekar also expressed their admiration with bow-down emojis in the Instagram comment section.
“Animal” is a high-octane gangster action thriller that boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, and Suresh Oberoi. Co-produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Cine1 Studios, “Animal” is helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director behind the blockbuster hits “Arjun Reddy” (2017) and “Kabir Singh” (2019). Originally slated for release on August 11, alongside Sunny Deol’s “Gadar 2,” the film was postponed to December 1 due to pending VFX work. It is set to hit theaters in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
