Amitabh Bachchan’s Granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda Starts at IIM Ahmedabad: “Dreams Do Come True”

Navya Naveli Nanda, the granddaughter of Bollywood legends Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, has embarked on an exciting academic journey by joining the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad. Navya, who recently shared this milestone with her followers on Instagram, expressed her excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to study at one of India’s most prestigious institutions.

In her Instagram post, Navya wrote, “Dreams do come true. The next 2 years… with the best people & faculty! Blended Post Graduate Programme (BPGP) Class of 2026.” She accompanied the announcement with a series of pictures showcasing the picturesque campus, her new classmates, and a celebratory cake-cutting moment. In her Instagram Stories, Navya also expressed her appreciation for her teacher, who guided her through the CAT/IAT entrance exams, helping her secure admission to the program.

The Blended Post Graduate Programme, which Navya is set to pursue, is a hybrid course introduced earlier this year. It combines on-campus sessions with live interactive online classes, making it ideal for professionals with at least three years of experience. The program is designed to accommodate the demanding schedules of working individuals and entrepreneurs, allowing them to balance their professional responsibilities with academic growth.

Navya’s announcement was met with an outpouring of support from friends, family, and well-wishers. Her mother, Shweta Bachchan, commented proudly on the post, saying, “You make me so proud, baby…” Navya also received congratulations from her close friends, including Suhana Khan, Ananya Panday, and Shanaya Kapoor, who shared their excitement through emojis. Notable figures from the film industry, such as filmmaker Zoya Akhtar and actors Karishma Kapoor and Sonali Bendre, also extended their best wishes to Navya.

Navya, who previously hosted the podcast What The Hell Navya with her grandmother Jaya Bachchan and mother Shweta Bachchan, has been vocal about her commitment to social issues. The podcast, which received acclaim, featured discussions on feminism and the role of women in society. Despite her strong connections to Bollywood, Navya has made it clear that she has no plans to join the film industry. At an event in June, Shweta Bachchan reaffirmed this, stating, “I think you are very well acquainted with the work Navya does, and she has her hands full. I don’t think Bollywood is the way to go for her.”

As Navya embarks on this new chapter at IIM Ahmedabad, she continues to carve out her own path, balancing her academic pursuits with her passion for social causes. Her journey serves as an inspiration to many young professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs across the country.
