FIRD Launches Bharat Udyam Seva Kendra Initiative to Strengthen India’s MSME Ecosystem and Expand Access to Government Schemes

In a major step toward strengthening India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and empowering small businesses, Federation of Industries Research and Development (FIRD) has officially launched the ambitious Bharat Udyam Seva Kendra Project, an initiative designed to help India’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) gain easier access to various Government of India schemes, support systems, and business facilitation opportunities.

The landmark launch event took place on 24th May 2026 at the prestigious Aldovia Convention Centre in Bangalore, where distinguished dignitaries from multiple state governments and central government departments gathered to support the initiative. The event witnessed the presence of nearly 3,000 entrepreneurs from across South India, all assembled with the common objective of learning about government-backed opportunities and gaining awareness about various business development schemes available for entrepreneurs and MSMEs.

During the event, National Administrator Samridhi Thapar announced a large-scale expansion plan under the Bharat Udyam Seva Kendra initiative. She revealed that before the end of 2026, every taluk across India will have two to three Bharat Udyam Seva Kendras, creating a nationwide support network dedicated to assisting entrepreneurs in understanding and accessing government programs more effectively.

Adding further momentum to the initiative, she also announced the upcoming launch of the Budyam App, scheduled for August 2026. The digital platform is being developed to actively promote entrepreneurship culture across India while creating awareness about various ministry-led schemes, startup support initiatives, and government programs that can help emerging businesses scale efficiently.

As part of this national movement, members of the Federation of Industries Research and Development board from different states collectively took an oath under the program, committing themselves to supporting entrepreneurship development and strengthening India’s growing business ecosystem through innovation, education, and structured support.

The event also featured detailed strategic presentations from several national leaders and board members of the federation. Leading the initiative were National Chairman Dr. Lalit Verma, National Vice Chairman of Development Rasheed, National Vice Chairman of Trade Dr. Vempalli Amanulla, National Administration Secretary Subish Vasudev, and National Director of Facilitation Shivendra Singh.

Additional strategic insights about the long-term vision of the federation were shared by Dr. Sambashiva, Divisional Chairman Arvind Govindappa, and Director Manjunath Acharya, all of whom emphasized the importance of creating a strong entrepreneurship-driven economy through coordinated national efforts.

To further strengthen the technological backbone of the initiative, FIRD has also established a Special Technical Team under the leadership of National Technical and Research Director Dr. Naveen Kumar. This team will work toward integrating the Budyam platform and IndApp systems, helping unify FIRD’s digital ecosystem and creating seamless access to information, support services, and government resources for entrepreneurs nationwide.

Through the launch of Bharat Udyam Seva Kendra, Federation of Industries Research and Development has positioned itself at the forefront of India’s entrepreneurship development mission, taking a significant step toward ensuring that business owners across the country can easily access the support systems needed to innovate, grow, and contribute to the vision of a stronger and more self-reliant India.
