Nikhil Siddhartha Opens Up About Major Mishap on The India House Set

Nikhil Siddhartha Opens Up About Set Accident on Ram Charan’s The India House: ‘We Survived a Huge Mishap’

Actor Nikhil Siddhartha has broken his silence on a recent on-set accident during the shoot of The India House, a film produced by Ram Charan and co-produced by Abhishek Agarwal. A water tank reportedly burst during filming at the Shamshabad set on Thursday, leading to severe flooding and the temporary disruption of production.

Videos of the incident, which have gone viral on social media, show chaos erupting as crew members scramble to safety while a surge of water floods the expansive set. Some individuals were reportedly injured, and significant damage was caused to the film’s equipment and infrastructure.

Reacting to the incident, Nikhil Siddhartha confirmed the accident and shared a heartfelt message on social media. “We are all safe. Sometimes in our quest to give the best cinematic experience, we take risks. Today we survived a huge mishap thanks to the alert crew and precautions taken,” he wrote. “We lost expensive equipment but by God’s grace there was no human damage. #IndiaHouse.”

Producer Abhishek Agarwal also issued a statement, reassuring fans and the public that everyone on set was safe. “A mishap occurred on the sets of #TheIndiaHouse while shooting today. Everyone on the sets is safe and sound. Thank you for all your concern. #JaiMataDi,” he said in a social media post, which was later re-shared by Ram Charan’s production house.

The extent of the damage has caused a temporary halt in the shoot schedule, though no official word has been given on when production will resume.

About The India House
Directed by Ram Vamsi Krishna, The India House stars Nikhil Siddhartha in the lead role and is set in the year 1905. Contrary to speculation, the film is not about Veer Savarkar but rather focuses on a group of Indian students during the colonial era. “Let’s just say this will also be something to watch out for,” Nikhil said in a previous interview, hinting at the film’s historical narrative and storytelling ambition.

Despite the mishap, the team remains hopeful and committed to delivering a powerful cinematic experience. Fans have expressed relief at the safety of the cast and crew and continue to support the project as it moves forward.
