The video, which showed Allu Arjun buying alcohol at a liquor shop in Goa, quickly spread across the internet, sparking a heated debate. While some fans defended the actor, others criticized him for not being a good role model. Now, seven years later, the Pushpa star has finally cleared the air about the incident.
During his appearance on the show, Allu Arjun admitted that the video was real, but clarified that he wasn’t buying the alcohol for himself. “It was for a friend, not for me,” he explained. He also revealed that the friend involved would be making an appearance on the show as well. This disclosure shed light on the confusion surrounding the incident and allowed Allu Arjun to set the record straight.
In the same episode, Allu Arjun also opened up about his landmark achievement of becoming the first Telugu actor to win a National Film Award. Reflecting on the moment, he shared that it had been a personal goal of his for years. “I checked the Best Actor National Awards list and realised no Telugu person had gotten it. It hurt me to see that. I decided then to achieve it,” he said, expressing how important the recognition was to him.
