Renowned actor Yash has officially commenced filming for his much-anticipated project Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups. The superstar shared a glimpse of the first day of the shoot on social media, marking the beginning of what promises to be an exciting cinematic journey. In his post, Yash wrote, “The journey begins #Toxic.”
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is an action-oriented film set against the backdrop of the drug mafia. The film is scheduled for release on April 10, 2025, and is produced by Venkat K Narayana’s KVN Productions and Yash’s own production house, Monster Mind Creations.
Ahead of the film’s shoot, Yash, along with his wife Radhika Pandit and their children, visited several temples in Karnataka, including the Shri Sadashiva Rudra Surya Temple, Shri Manjunatheshwara Temple in Dharmastala, and Kukke Subramanya Temple in Subramanya. These visits were part of his pre-shoot preparations.
Earlier this year, Yash’s transformation for the film was showcased by celebrity hairstylist Alex Vijaykanth. Vijaykanth shared images of Yash’s new look, which features a dramatic change from his iconic long hair to a shorter, edgier style. “Crafting a look that’s truly explosive,” Vijaykanth captioned the post. “A custom pompadour for Rocking Star Yash! Creating a hairstyle that perfectly complements characters played by Yash is a challenge I relish, and this pompadour is a testament to it.”
Yash first announced his involvement with Toxic in December 2023, with a post quoting Rumi, “What you seek is seeking you,” and describing the film as “A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups.”
