
Arijit Singh and Ed Sheeran’s recent scooter ride through Jiaganj, Murshidabad, has taken the internet by storm, with fans calling it the “cutest thing on the internet today.” The British singer-songwriter is in India as part of his Mathematics tour and took time to visit Singh’s hometown, where the two singers enjoyed a casual ride, much to the delight of their fans.
In a viral video, Ed Sheeran can be seen seated on the pillion seat of a scooter while Arijit Singh rides through the town. The duo was accompanied by a group of people on scooters, but notably, they avoided heavy security, opting for a relaxed and fun experience. The heartwarming moment was widely appreciated on social media, with fans flooding the comments section with love.
One fan excitedly wrote, “Arijit × Ed when?” while another commented, “If this is not the most wholesome video ever, I don’t know what is.” Others called them “humblest souls together.”
Ed Sheeran’s Bengaluru Street Performance Halted
Before his scheduled concert, Ed Sheeran attempted to perform on the streets of Bengaluru but was stopped by the police. While authorities stated that the event lacked official permission, Sheeran’s team clarified that they had prior approval for the brief performance.
Taking to his Instagram story, Sheeran explained, “We had permission to busk, by the way. Hence, us playing in that exact spot was planned out beforehand. It wasn’t just us randomly turning up. All good though. See you at the show tonight x.”
Despite the street performance being cut short, Sheeran’s India tour has been a massive success.
Ed Sheeran’s Mathematics Tour in India
Ed Sheeran kickstarted his India tour with a concert in Pune on January 30, followed by a performance at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, on February 2, where singer Armaan Malik opened the show. During his Chennai concert, Sheeran shared the stage with legendary composer AR Rahman, much to the excitement of fans.
The India leg of his Mathematics tour is being produced and promoted by AEG Presents Asia and BookMyShow Live. His next performances are scheduled for Delhi and Shillong.
Notably, this is not the first time Sheeran and Singh have shared a stage. Last year, Sheeran joined Singh at a concert in London, where they performed the British artist’s hit love ballad Perfect.
