"Vidya Balan Advocates for Privacy in Marriage: 'Family Should Not Interfere'"

Actress Vidya Balan shares her perspective on the sanctity of marriage, emphasizing the need for privacy and open communication between couples. In recent interviews, she highlights the importance of keeping marital issues within the relationship and not involving external parties. Balan’s insights on relationships coincide with the release of her latest film, “Do Aur Do Pyaar,” directed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta.

Vidya Balan, known for her versatile performances on screen, delves into personal insights regarding marriage and relationships, urging for a boundary of privacy between couples and their extended circles.

In a recent interview with India Today, Balan expressed her belief that married couples should handle their issues independently without interference from others. “To realise that marriage is between two people and should remain between two people at all times, whatever it takes to achieve that, communication, and sharing, is very crucial,” she emphasized.

The actress stressed the significance of communication in maintaining a healthy relationship. “You can’t bring in another person, whether that’s family or friends, no one can be a part of the relationship between two people, especially a marriage,” she added.

Furthermore, in an interview with ANI, Balan underscored the importance of open dialogue within relationships. “I believe every couple has their own unique mantra, but in my opinion, if we openly communicate with each other about everything, it can be very helpful,” she shared.

Discussing her own marriage with Siddharth Roy Kapur, Balan highlighted the value of honest expression and spending quality time together. “Siddharth and I discuss everything, if someone feels bad or gets angry, or if there’s love, we express it honestly to each other, which is very important. Sharing everything is crucial for a couple,” she elaborated.

Vidya Balan tied the knot with Siddharth Roy Kapur in 2012 after a period of courtship, and their relationship exemplifies her beliefs in maintaining privacy and fostering open communication within a marriage.

As Balan shares these insights, her latest film “Do Aur Do Pyaar,” directed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta, offers audiences a glimpse into modern relationship dynamics. With a stellar cast including Pratik Gandhi, Illeana D’Cruz, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, the film aims to engage viewers in a journey of love, laughter, and introspection.
