Alia Bhatt and Sharvari are set to play super agents in the first female-led movie from the Yash Raj Films (YRF) Spy Universe. Directed by Shiv Rawail, the film’s title, Alpha, was officially announced by the actresses on Friday morning.
‘Alpha’ Teaser Unveiled
Alia Bhatt and Sharvari shared a teaser on Instagram to reveal the film’s title. In the promo, a voiceover by Alia explains the significance of the title: “Greek alphabet ka sabse pehla akshar, aur hamari program ka motto. Sabse pehle, sabse tez. Sabse veer. Dhyan se dekho toh har sahar mein ek jungle hein. Aur jungle mein humesha raaj karega… Alpha” (The first letter in the Greek alphabet, and the motto of our program. The first, and the fastest. The bravest. Pay attention and every city is like a jungle. The one who will rule that jungle is… Alpha). The teaser showcased the design of the film’s logo and ended with the announcement: ‘Filming now.’
The joint post by Alia and Sharvari was captioned, “It’s the time of the ALPHA.. Girls! 🔥 @shivrawail | @yrf | #YRFSpyUniverse.”
