The much-anticipated Tamil film Suriya 46 officially commenced its shoot on May 19 with a traditional pooja ceremony held in Hyderabad. The muhurat puja was graced by director Trivikram, who was the chief guest and also gave the ceremonial first clap to mark the beginning of the film’s production.
Directed by Venky Atluri, known for his stylish and engaging storytelling, Suriya 46 promises to be a fresh and exciting project for the Tamil superstar’s fans. The music for the film will be composed by the acclaimed G.V. Prakash Kumar, adding another layer of anticipation to the project.
Adding fresh charm to the film is Mamitha Baiju, who has been roped in as the female lead. The film also boasts a stellar supporting cast, including Bollywood icon Raveena Tandon and veteran actress Radhika Sarathkumar, both playing significant roles that are expected to add depth and experience to the narrative.
Suriya, who was last seen in the film Retro, had a decent run with his previous release, which though not a massive blockbuster, earned appreciation from his fans for its engaging content.
In related news, during a recent interview with Screen, Suriya’s wife, actress Jyotika, humorously talked about balancing their superstar lives with family. She said, “I guess we leave the superstardom outside the door when we enter home. There, we are just parents of our kids. And yeah, the dabbas… definitely the prominence is given to our children. It’s more about what’s going in their school dabbas in the morning.”
The shooting schedule for Suriya 46 is set to begin in earnest from May 30. Fans and industry watchers are eagerly waiting to see what this promising collaboration brings to the big screen.
