In a light-hearted and witty commentary on the upcoming Shark Tank India Season 3, Ashneer Grover, the founder of BharatPe and a former shark on the show, playfully teased the increased number of sharks in the upcoming season, alluding to it as an “audition” for Season 4.
On a Sunday, Ashneer Grover took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the promo of Shark Tank India Season 3, where 12 sharks will take center stage, a notable increase from the previous seasons. In his tweet, Grover humorously remarked, “Shark Tank 3 is the ‘audition’ of sharks for Shark Tank 4! Life mein ek lesson hai – don’t change and make unnecessary problem of something which is already solved. Wish quantity solves for quality!”
The reference to “quantity over quality” was in response to the expansion of the panel of sharks in the third season of the popular business reality TV show. The official X handle of Shark Tank India had previously shared the promo, proudly announcing the inclusion of 12 sharks, up from the previous 6. The new season will feature Ritesh Agarwal, Varun Dua, Deepinder Goyal, Azhar Iqubal, Radhika Gupta, and Ronnie Screwvala as the six new sharks.
Ashneer Grover’s playful comment on the increased number of sharks garnered reactions from fans and followers who had expressed their desire to see him return as a shark in the show. Some comments reflected that the show lacked its previous charm without his presence, while others speculated on the potential reasons behind the addition of more sharks.
Shark Tank India, an official adaptation of the popular US show, is set to premiere its third season on SonyLIV in January. While the exact release date is yet to be announced, the show’s increased line-up of sharks promises higher stakes and more entrepreneurial opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs.
Ashneer Grover’s good-humored take on the show’s expansion adds an extra layer of excitement to the upcoming season, leaving fans eager to see how the new sharks will fare in the tank.
