Shaitaan Box Office Collection Day 9: Ajay Devgn-Jyotika's Film Shows Steady Performance

Vikas Bahl’s supernatural thriller “Shaitaan,” featuring Ajay Devgn and Jyotika in lead roles, continues its box office journey with a steady performance as it enters its second week. The film, jointly produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak, has garnered attention for its gripping storyline and strong performances.

After its initial weekend success, “Shaitaan” witnessed a slight decline in box office numbers on day 9, collecting ₹8.00 crore, as reported by Sacnilk. However, the film’s overall domestic box office earnings stand at an impressive ₹84.80 crore, showcasing its appeal among audiences.

“Shaitaan” revolves around a family of three held captive by an individual with supernatural powers, delivering a harrowing tale filled with suspense and intrigue. The star-studded cast includes Ajay Devgn as Kabeer, Madhavan as Vanraaj Kashyap, Janki Bodiwala as Jahnvi, and Jyotika in the role of Jyoti.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh praised the film’s performance in its first week, noting its fantastic score and widespread acceptance across different audience segments. He highlighted the film’s strong box office numbers, including ₹15.21 crore on Friday, ₹19.18 crore on Saturday, and ₹20.74 crore on Sunday, contributing to the total of ₹81.60 crore in the first week.

Despite new film releases, “Shaitaan” is expected to maintain its dominance at the box office in the coming weekend and is anticipated to surpass the ₹100 crore mark in its second weekend.

Film critic Saibal Chatterjee commended Vikas Bahl for effectively adapting the script from the Gujarati film “Vash,” directed by Krishnadev Yagnik, and delivering a captivating narrative that keeps audiences engaged.
