In its thirteenth day since release, the box office collections for “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” witnessed a slight decline, garnering ₹1.75 crore, as reported by Sacnilk. Directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the romantic comedy, which narrates a unique love story between a robot girl and a human boy, has now amassed a total of ₹64.20 crore domestically.
Starring Shahid Kapoor as Aryan Agnihotri and Kriti Sanon in the role of Super Intelligent Female Robot Automation, affectionately known as Sifra, the film also features Janhvi Kapoor in a special appearance, alongside veteran actors Dharmendra, Dimple Kapadia, Rakesh Bedi, Ashish Verma, and Rakesh Kumar in pivotal roles.
Recently, Kriti Sanon, who portrays the character of Sifra, shared a promotional video featuring herself and veteran actor Anil Kapoor. In the amusing clip, Anil Kapoor is seen graciously offering Kriti a mobile phone, fork, and knife to eat, to which Kriti humorously responds, “Sir, yeh Sifra khati hai. Mai nahi khati [Sir, Sifra eats all this. I do not eat this].” The video concludes with the title track of “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” playing in the background.
However, film critic Saibal Chatterjee’s review of the movie paints a less favorable picture, awarding it 1.5 out of 5 stars. Chatterjee criticizes the film for its casual sexism, noting a scene where a character expresses that a robotic woman is preferable to a nagging wife. He describes the film as a blend of “an obnoxious Kabir Singh and an incoherent Pyaar Ka Punchnama,” suggesting that while the characters may not be overtly toxic, the movie itself perpetuates outdated and regressive attitudes towards women.
