A thrilling update has emerged from the sets of Salman Khan’s upcoming film, Sikandar. The beloved actor Sathyaraj, renowned for his iconic role as Kattappa in the Baahubali series, has officially joined the star-studded cast. Alongside him, Prateik Babbar has also been welcomed into the film, which is directed by the acclaimed AR Murugadoss.
Producer Warda S Nadiadwala took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share the exciting news, posting pictures from the film set featuring the new cast members. Her caption read, “Garma Garam pictures from the sets of #Sikandar!!! With my fave Sathyaraj Sir. What a delight to witness our director @ARMurugadoss creating cinematic excellence. Cheers to another one with @prateikbabbar.”
This film marks the first collaboration between Salman Khan and director AR Murugadoss, generating significant anticipation among fans. Last month, Salman Khan shared a glimpse from the set, posing with producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director AR Murugadoss. Clad in a pastel-coloured shirt and a pair of shades, Salman Khan looked dashing. His caption read, “Looking forward to #Eid2025 with team Sikandar. SajidNadiadwala’s Sikandar. Directed by @ARMurugadoss. Releasing in cinemas EID 2025.”
Adding to the excitement, the film will feature Salman Khan sharing the screen with Rashmika Mandanna for the first time. Last month, the makers announced her inclusion with a post stating, “Welcoming the fabulous Rashmika Mandanna to star opposite Salman Khan in Sikandar. Can’t wait for their on-screen magic to unfold on Eid 2025.”
Director AR Murugadoss also shared the announcement on his Instagram handle, stating, “Eid Mubarak! Immerse yourself in the magic of ‘Sikandar’ as it unfolds on the big screen EID 2025! Sajid Nadiadwala Presents Salman Khan in and as Sikandar. Releasing in cinemas EID 2025.”
Salman Khan was last seen in Tiger 3, starring alongside Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi, directed by Maneesh Sharma. The actor also made a cameo appearance in Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster Pathaan and starred in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan last year. Additionally, Salman Khan hosted the 17th season of the TV reality show Bigg Boss, which was won by Munawar Faruqui.
