Saif, who has been promoting his latest film Devara Part 1, spoke highly of Rahul’s resilience and efforts to reshape his public image.
Saif’s Admiration for Rahul Gandhi
When asked about the qualities he admires in a politician, Saif emphasized bravery and honesty. In a discussion involving Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and Rahul Gandhi, Saif picked Rahul for special praise. “I think they are all brave politicians. I think what Rahul Gandhi has done has been very impressive. There was a point when people were disrespecting things he was saying and doing. And I think he has turned that around by working very hard in a very interesting way,” Saif said at the event.
Saif’s comments have since gone viral on social media, particularly on X (formerly Twitter), where supporters of Rahul Gandhi shared the clip widely. Some users have even referred to the actor’s remarks as an ‘endorsement’ of the Congress leader. Interestingly, Saif had portrayed a political heir in the Amazon Prime Video series Taandav, a character many found reminiscent of Rahul Gandhi.
