Raveena Tandon Slams Men Filming Katrina Kaif During Holy Dip at Mahakumbh: ‘Disgusting Behavior’

Actor Raveena Tandon has strongly condemned the inappropriate behavior of a group of men who filmed and mocked Katrina Kaif while she performed a holy dip (snan) at the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj. The incident, captured in a viral video, has sparked outrage on social media, with many calling out the lack of respect shown to the Bollywood star.

Viral Video Sparks Outrage

Katrina Kaif, who visited the Mahakumbh along with her mother-in-law, took a dip in the Triveni Sangam’s VIP section. However, a recently surfaced video shows a group of men recording themselves and then panning the camera toward Katrina. One of them is heard saying, “Ye main hu, ye mera bhai hai, aur ye Katrina Kaif (this is me, this is my brother, and this is Katrina Kaif),” as laughter erupts in the background.

The video has drawn sharp criticism from netizens, with many condemning the act as harassment and a violation of privacy.

Raveena Tandon Reacts

Among those angered by the video was Raveena Tandon, who also attended the Mahakumbh. Expressing her disappointment, she commented, “This is disgusting. These kinds of people spoil a moment that is supposed to be peaceful and meaningful.”

Several social media users echoed her sentiment. One user wrote, “Very bad… Mass bullying,” while another commented, “This is terrible. How are people so shameless?” Others described the incident as “sad and disturbing.”

Celebrity Presence at Mahakumbh

The Mahakumbh Mela, which began on January 13 and concluded on February 26, coinciding with Mahashivratri, saw the presence of several celebrities. Apart from Katrina Kaif and her husband Vicky Kaushal, other stars such as Sonali Bendre, Akshay Kumar, Juhi Chawla, and Guru Randhawa also visited the sacred event.

Earlier, another viral video shot from a drone showed a massive crowd surrounding Katrina during her dip in the river. The incident has reignited discussions about respecting privacy, even in public spaces, and ensuring that religious gatherings maintain their sanctity.

Call for Respect and Privacy

The viral videos have raised concerns over the behavior of attendees at public events, especially when celebrities are involved. While the Mahakumbh is a significant spiritual gathering, such incidents highlight the need for better crowd management and respect for individuals participating in religious rituals.
